Program Description: The SMART Visa is a visa designed to attract skilled professionals, investors, executives and startup entrepreneurs who wish to work or invest in targeted industries in Thailand.
Visa Duration: The SMART S visa for startup entrepreneurs allows a maximum stay of up to 2 years and may be renewed.
Work Authorization: SMART Visa holders are exempt from the requirement to obtain a separate work permit when working in the approved business activity.
Dependents: Spouse and children are allowed to stay in Thailand for the same duration as the SMART Visa holder and the spouse is permitted to work without a work permit.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must establish a startup in Thailand operating in a targeted industry and obtain certification from relevant authorities such as the National Innovation Agency or the Digital Economy Promotion Agency.
